New to the ham world, just have a quick question which I can't seem to find an answer to online and can't work out why it's happening.

I have a dual band Wouxun KG-UV9K which I've been playing with.

When 144.500mhz is set (a) and 433.500mhz is set (b) as the alternative frequency. If I transmit on (a) 144.5 the signal bar pops up on both bands and it appears I'm transmitting on both frequencies. It doesn't do this if I change to any other 2m/70cm frequency and it does do it if I switched bands and send on (b) 433.500. I hope that makes sense!!

Apologies if this is a simple question but I've gone through the manual, tried Google and nothing seems to come up.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
