Question klm electronics, model pa 10-160bl, linear vhf power amplifier

Ok guys I'm curious I have one of these amplifiers. It says the input watts are 10 and the output is 160 on VHF. If I hook this up to a 50 watt mobile will I have to lower all my output to low power or does it matter?
If I run that radio at 50 watts will it damage the amplifier or my radio?

You will kill the amplifier if you put 50 Watts into it, it's rated for 10W input for 160W out. If you put 5W in, you should get 80W out etc.
Also, make sure you check your SWR is OK before you run it at full power...
