    Question TH-K2AT and MCP-1A issue

I have a Kenwood TH-K2AT handheld radio that I have been trying to program with the MCP-1A software
    from Kenwood.

Every time I try to download from the radio I get a message telling me that the radio is not supported even
though I have that model selected.

This is very annoying to say the least.

Can someone give me any idea as to what is wrong?

I've never used that radio, but I've ran into similar problems with Motorola gear. Sometimes if the radio was programmed with a newer version of the programming software, the older software will no longer work with the radio. See if there is a newer version of the software available.

Why not contact Kenwood directly and ask them?

    Default Kenwood

In order to get support from KENWOOD I would have to register my radio. I tried to do that and
thr registration page will not accept TH-K2AT as a valid radio/
