Hello from Sheffield, England
Hi,
got my UK Foundation last Summer with Sheffield and District Wireless Society, chose my call sign as M6YTB. There didn't
seem to be many left in the M6 range and know M7 has recently been made available.
Have a Baofeng that was gifted to me to start the hobby. Since bought an Icom 208 for the car and an Icom 706 to give
more band choice at home or away.
Just joined Worksop Amateur Radio Club and their Intermediate course. Would like to get to Full Licence one day but for
now will be happy with a 2Ex call sign too as atleast will mean can use the Icoms at closer to full power.
To date enjoyed some Simplex 2m calls, only had a little 70cm repeater use. Do want to get out on the 706's HF bands
once sorted an antenna.
