Unhappy HELP NEEDED WITH A BROKEN FTM-400

Hi hopefully this is the right place to ask and excuse my ignorance if it wasn't, but ... thieves tried to break into my vehicle and steal my radio this weekend, they didn't succeed but ended up ripping the cable to the head unit in half, I fixed it and tested with ohm meter (thats about the end of my skills) but the unit does not power up anymore, I suspect the blew something inside as it does have power coming in and I'm 100% positive the cable is working (tested for shorts too) so can anyone offer me some inside information lol, i dont have any experience with these type of repairs other then soldering a few wires together, is it a simple repair or should i start looking for a repair shop .. thanks

It might be worth opening the head unit (and body) and inspecting the headers for torn/cracked tracks on the PCBs...
