Simplex Base Station to Mobile Setup

I'm assuming because of power and/or antenna gain.

But if you connect to a mobile or base antenna, the antenna gain isn't an issue. But most HT's are 5w max, 10w being the highest I have seen (AiLunce HD1). Power isn't everything, but with mobile simplex, it's more important, since power may be the only way to get enough gain to communicate.

This has been made WAY more complicated than needed given the parameters requested. Don't over think it.

Get two 2M mobile radios, put one in the car with a vertical antenna, Larson is well regarded. Put a power supply and the second mobile in the house with a vertical mounted antenna on the top floor.
