Default Changes to examinations at all levels

I was speaking to someone today via GB3MP and he was telling me that Foundation, Intermediate, and Advanced exams will be changing in due course. I asked if he could clarify a little bit more about what he had heard and he replied that it was thought that too many people were being stuck at Intermediate level (raises hand and gulity! Well not so much stuck....), he went on to say that a lot of the incoming exam syllabus will feature questions on digital modes. Can any clarify if they have heard the same or anything?

You can also read more information on the RSGBs website:-

Good reason for being a shortwave listener first, you can learn a lot from that!!
Not necessarily 40 odd years like I was but some SWL'ing and being in a club (I was early 70s) working with events etc certainly helps.

Exams that are subject to scrutiny, inspection or national standards usually have a five year lifespan between re-writes, so nothing unremarkable really. 5 years is considered long enough in any developing subject.
