Just arrived in Sheringham for a few days. Suppose I'd better sign in on the local repeater.
A place close to my heart, I'll be there in a couple of weeks for a holiday with the YL (and another just before xmas, expensive xmas shopping in Holt) ... not sure about repeaters, but usually some action on 2fm simplex, Keith G0GFQ in Weybourne usually monitoring, and Ken 2E0SLS in Sheringham. Bittern dxgroup 2fm evening net on Thursday.

Yes, I'm a regular in North Norfolk. I'll also have a listen on S20, and maybe drop in on the net tomorrow evening.

    Good old Teddy!

Nice DX. I have literally only just switched on the rig at home, while the chicken wrapped in smoked bacon is in the oven. No antenna for 10m at home, just dipoles for 15,17, and 20m. About to see if there's anything on 15.

Best of the last 10 minutes is UT7MT/QRP, with 1W both ways. Only 2682 km, though, so a bit pathetic. I'll try in a bit to better that.

Bettered slightly with EA8GP in the Canaries, at 2980 km, but nothing to compare with your excellent QSO with Teddy. Well done, Andy!

At least EA8 is out of EU, and good going considering you probably missed most of the action earlier. I won't be partaking next week, be nice if someone else gave it a bash other than us two

Poor band conditions and severe lack of time (quarter of an hour between getting home from work and going to college for dinner) means my 1W only netted me UE16SA at 2,450 km today.

Crikey... Well, I think I'm closer to getting on air, and my rig will do 1 watt AM, FM, and SSB. Hopefully I'll be up and running Soon[TM]. Sounds like a fun thing aka something I might be able to handle.

Great! It's only been Andy and I thus far, and the more, the merrier!

One Watt Wednesdays, and the forum, got a mention in the November RadCom, on p63, in G3ZAY's regular HF column.

    Fame at last
Back from a week's holiday in North Norfolk and I'm eager to see what a watt will do on wednesday. VK9DLX are there on Lord Howe Island until the end of the month, so they may run out of takers and qrp may just do it with a bit of luck.

I'll be busy on Wednesday at work, with only the early morning to get something in the log. Sounds better than it is, though, as I have a college dinner tomorrow evening, and by the time I've done a wine reception before, appropriate wines with the three courses, then the dessert course when the port starts going round, my early morning intentions might be somewhat optimistic!

But if you pull that off, Andy, I will worship you publicly!

I'm struggling today, most of the exotic stuff are still early in their dxpeds with big pile-ups, VK9DLX being an exception and lonely on 17m ssb but propagation not really good enough for him to hear my qrp.

Ah bingo, J79L (Dominica) on 24.937 is now running low of callers, so managed that for a new one on qrp.

I'm about to run out and buy a generator, and toss a long wire out the window... no electricity this week, no electricity next week, maybe the week or month after that. Sigh and or argh.

    Great result, Andy!

I didn't have any time yesterday, not even to switch on the rig.
