Question Ham Radio like CB by times

However, PARA is disappointed that its emergency use of 7095 MHz was not honoured by other radio amateurs
Why do some hams still use these emergency frequencies?

Well as far as Region 1 is concerned according to the RSGB.
All modes, 7,110kHz - Region 1 Emergency Centre of Activiity.

Even if the voices aren't real, they have some pretty good ideas

sure but what i wanted to point out is that when a country is using a frequency for emergency all other hams should respect that and keep clear.

in this case some hams even started to asking for reports as if it was a contest...

There have always been dummies, on every band.

When channel 9 was set aside as an emergency HELP channel on CB Radio, some ID10T's wanted to talk skip on it. Some of those guys got their coax pinned!

Time goes on and things change, but people don't.
