I am just new to Ham so I don't have much of a shack yet but hope soon to add more to what I already have.

    A simple setup.
Icom 718 with a Heil iCM boom mic I control the rig with HRD and do Slow Scan TV on HF with EasyPal. PSK & Digital modes are handled by DM780.
    SignaLink USB
    Ameritron AL-80A Amplifier
    Dentron MT-2000A tuner
    B&W Antenna Switch
    Yaesu YS-60 Pwr/SWR Meter
Single Lever homemade paddle for CW.
No in the photo is a Kenwood TM261A 2 meter rig and the power supplies.
Current antennas are a 75 and 40 meter dipole. A doublet for 30-10. I am working on a couple of homemade verticals for 20 and 17 meters. I have an Antron 99 I need to get in the air, if 10 meters every gets rocking again!

    Wow...

some of these setups make my Sonar and Tram (monitor Ch. 9 for emergencies, regularly chat on Ch. 17 with the Sonar) for CB look ... well .. pathetic. Just a Tram with a base station mic from the late 70's, and the Sonar with original mic and just rebuilt with new tubes to freshen up the sound quality a little.

I plan to add the Yaesu FT-2800M for 2m to the mix, get involved with 2 radios at once (there hasn't been a single transmission on Ch. 9 in ages, but I still do monitor just in case someone does transmit). But for me, that's more than enough right now ...

Oh, also add on a Cobra 19 in the car and a 148 in the truck, gonna mount the Yaesu in the truck next week.
VHF (2m band) - KC2UFP. Fired up the rig! Made my first contact yesterday (December 12th). Made my furthest contact yet today ... somewhere between 80 and 90 miles from the Quakerbridge Mall to Dover, DE where I made contact on the W3HZW repeater with a frequency of 146.970 MHz and a PL of 77Hz.

Edit:...Right, all sorted now.... This was the shack with humble 706MKIIG
    [attachment=1:3g9nbrfw]706shack.JPG[/attachment:3g9nbrfw]

And this is the shack with the Ft950 as I'm operating now...kept the 706MKIIG here too for 2M/70CMS.
The alinco mobile is gone to the cupboard for a while.

Looks like 50gigs doesn't support remote loading in files :!: don't worry though you can upload them to the forum!

    I also have a FT950 fantastic radio!

Very nice radio and good use still to be had from the trusty 706. Looks like your shack is getting better and better for amateur radio... the monitor display seems to show progression as well

Heres some pics of my shack. The first 2 are just pics of the whole shack. The 3rd is my hf rig (an ic-751). The 4th and 5th pics are of installing all my antennas (in the tree is Justin KD8FAY, on the roof his brother and i took the pic) then the last picture is just one taken in the tree of the view overlooking my neighborhood. hope you all enjoy 73,

I thought it was just for keeping Jon entertained, when some was waffling during a QSO!

Have an "ON AIR" sign, not unlike the ones that hang on chains over Emergency Exit doors but the lead was too short to be able to be plugged in anywhere close to hand - i'll maybe lengthen it a bit
