Finally, here is my Shack image (was about time as I started the topic), and I will leave viewers to find all the radios in the photo.

And yes it is messy, but I know where everything is.

Yes, along with 2 handhelds was also the recent addition from Uncle (SK) clearout. It is actually hooked up to the HF antenna which is a whole other story.

Maybe tomorrow or saturday will take one with all Radios and computers fired up. Will the National Grid handle it???

No, that's the way I like to keep it. I also share the room with my Golden Retriever so to keep the dust and dog hair down I try to stay on top of it. Also, 17-1/2 years in the military doesn't hurt. Thanks for the comment.

    Hi Paul,

I have decided that since retirement is soon arriving, my entire shack will be nothing but Collins rigs.

No more digital stuff breaking down, just a few tubes to be replaced once in a while.

    Enjoy.

Recent shack photos. My gf bought me a new chair as a birthday present yesterday, so things are a bit softer on the rear end now
OK, the clocks are a bit corny but they cost next to nothing, so I couldn't resist.

I believe the correct phrase is "organised chaos"

Anywho, here is my current set up.

    [attachment=0:1u616a41]shack.JPG[/attachment:1u616a41]

    Yaesu FT-897
    DAIWA CNW-419
    Yaesu vx-3e & Jesan KT-5005 (CB)

All supplied by an adapted 600W PC-SMPSU capable of 36A on a 12v supply line

    Current Antenna......
Length of wire strung out across yard, crude, but it works....

Last few days I sorted the shack so it's now a lot better layout. Minor problem is main screen is slightly too high. Will order a Vesa desk mount so I can adjust the height soon.
(Sorry about quality, but don't currently have a CF card reader, so may have to invest in new camera or reader. Personally I really want a new camera)
