Raspberry Pi voice keyer?

HI, has anyone looked into using a pi as a voice keyer?

I know it has no audio in but using a cheap USB sound card should enable it to be put in a box, add switches to select files to play and other siwtches to control delays/repeats etc.
Could make a voice keyer far cheaper than the MFJ one I have seen with the same functionality.

You might check the https://forums.adafruit.com/ forums. There are hams that post there, and there are a mnumber of experts on the Pi there.
