Default How NOT to operate PSK

    Maybe this will help someone....

When running PSK, make SURE you have a good clean signal..........If not, you affect the entire band and others trying to operate with respect to others.

The highlighted signal is NOT clean and takes out a large portion of the band. Look and compare to other traces on the waterfall.

    Shame on you PU2AOJ.
PS, I asked multiple times for him to correct.

I don't know much about PSK31 but looking at the other signals on the waterfall, they don't look particularly clean either, or is that an artefact of the strong poor signal.

This happens on all modes, not just PSK31, I had the same on CW quite recently with a station, not only with key clicks but spurii either side of their signal, what can you say? If the station who is causing the problem doesn't always understand when you try and explain what the problem is because they don't understand English, it's very difficult.

I notice you named and shamed the station, I don't suppose for a minute they look at this forum.

By the way, I notice you are in Central Florida, we normally go over there this time of year, but we have missed this year, but we have got flights booked for next year the end of September/October 2012, when the food and wine festival is on in Epcot

That's dreadful, probably lots of power and seriously overdriving the ALC.

Well, after many tries at getting him to correct it, I figured this just might help, but who knows....
