Sunday 7th August - Digimodes Activity Night

I notice that in my absence over the past few weeks that there's been no digimode activity night on Sundays so it's time to rectify that.

I fancy trying Hellschreiber (FeldHell in fldigi) this week.

From 20:00 BST (19:00z) onwards on 40m, meet in the chatroom then and see how it goes?

Can I suggest Not 8pm due to Top Gear as most chatroom people will be gone that hour.

That was fun!

Picked a random frequency on 40m and started calling CQ with FELDHELL.

It took fifteen minutes or so but then a Frenchman replied. I didn't get a decode at first until I manually opened the squelch but then we proceded to have a QSO.

I only thought to take a screencap right at the end so here it is.

I called for a few minutes after but there were no further takers. Both Paul and Louis could see the Frenchman but not me so conditions had clearly started going towards long skip on 40m by that time.

I was really surprised though, quite a random mode on a random frequency and there was a reply!
