Default Thinking of adding DSP to my Icom M710 Marine SSB (Modified for HAM)

I have an Icom M710 Marine SSB which is modified for HAM Transmit on my sailboat and I'm considering adding an external DSP unit to it. I was thinking I'd go with an inline unit as opposed to a speaker only model so I can also use with headphones.

The reviews of the timewave 599zx and the BHI NEIM1031 all seem pretty good on the Eham site.

I can't think of any downside to this idea any one want to try and talk me out of it?

    Thanks!

Replying to my own thread... just to close it out.

Well I went ahead and bought the BHI Ltd NEIM1031 digital signal processor and I really like it. Frequently there is a lot of static when I'm listening to phone and it cleans up signals to the point I can tolerate listening longer. With digital, I can see it clearing the noise out of the waterfall... pretty nice.
