Default unmarked double speed key identification

    Greetings!

I have a speed key that I received from my grandfather's estate when he passed away.

    Call Sign: W9TMS
Grant Date: 04/21/1999, Expiration Date: 04/21/2009 (sadly I never took the test so I imagine the call is now taken by someone else)
    Registrant: John V Mart, 735 E 400 N, Anderson, IN 46012-9511

Anyway, the key has a heavy black base with three rubber feet and three posts, two red, one black. It has red plastic molding and red plastic paddles for the steal levers. The spring between the two paddles is adjustable as is each paddle distance from the center contact all of which are used to adjust the sensitivity of the paddles. Connections are made from the three terminal posts to a tone generator, radio, or other device.

Can someone please tell me what I have?

I would put small pics of it but I don't see an upload option.

There are so many like that, but a foto would certainly help.

OK, thanks for the foto. It looks like home made side-swiper, most probably from a kit. I have exactly the same red paddles in my home-made keyer. Forgot where I got them from however. The reason I also suspect it is home made is that the "bolts" holding the paddles are both on the same side, e.g. the left.. In general, these bolts are in the outside of each paddle. The key would not operate the older hybrid rigs as it need an electronic keyer to work. However newer models have this keyer built into them.
