Hello. I have a website about Jeeps, specifically about Jeep Cherokees. We have a communication section and a few of the members have expressed an interest in HAM radio. 2 meters would be a very welcome change for communications between off road Jeep drivers.
I was licensed back in the late 70's and obtaining a license has changed since then. I could look it up and post it on the site, but since I do a podcast for my site I thought it would be more interesting to interview a HAM about the steps to get a HAM license.
As most people do these days, I have long distance included in my land line service so I'd be happy to call you (48 continental states) and we would do a on phone interview.
The show is live on Wednesday's at 8PM central, so my first preference would be to have the interviewee live on the show so they could field questions from the members in the chat room (ustream.tv), but we could record the interview and then I could play it back during the live show, so really it could be any time you are available to talk on the phone for about an hour.
I shoot for the interview to be about 30 minutes.
We could also use Skype. This is a better way to record the interview because the audio quality is so much better than the land line.
The podcast is new and we have anywhere from 5 to 25 people watching the live show. The show is also available for playback via ustream, youtube and iTunes, as well as on our site.
If you are interested please reply here, or e-mail me at tony @ xjtalk.com.
Thanks!
