I'm considering building a Stub Loaded Helix (SLH) antenna for a high gain terrestrial antenna.

The would like to use this antenna as a sort of rover type antenna for two meters. (centered around 146 Mhz)

Mostly I am just wondering if anyone on this forum has any experience with axial mode helical antennas.
