Nice! seems to work nicely with my data...
Hi folks,
I've just launched a site called rfcoverage.co.uk which provides an interface to John Magliacane's excellent Splat! tool. It uses Google Maps for both the antenna siting and the resultant heat-map overlay.
At present it can generate 10km radius heatmaps in Africa,Europe and Asia. I've run out of room on my server for the SRTM data for the rest of the world! I might go bigger on the radius later but the CPU time (and website refresh delay) gets excessive and I don't want to do that just yet.
Anyhow, please let me know what you think and more importantly if you've spotted any errors as it's early days.
Enjoy,
Al

Thanks. Glad it worked out for you.
I've since added a link analysis feature which creates two Splat! graphs, one for terrain analysis and a second for an elevation profile with fresnal zones etc.
Quite a few people are entering HF frequencies which whilst they might appear to work I belive Splat! defaults to the Longley-Rice minimum frequency which is 20MHz. Unfortunately this app is best suited to VHF/UHF and SHF planning. I could be wrong so just to be sure I've removed a function to halt the program if the frequency is lower than 20.
I've opted for a low bandwidth design with smartphones in mind. I use this on an Android phone by visiting the site but I may consider making an app in the future which will be even simpler. eg. Click a button with your radio type (PMR-446, 5W) and then click somewhere on the map.
