alinco dj190 cant figure out squelch

i have this radio and i am new to it and the ham radio "stuff". the radio works get but i can not figure out haw to adjust the squelch. i found a couple of places on the net that told me how to do it, but no matter what i do it does not adjust. the way it says on the net is to hold the "f" key, press the "moni" key, use the volume key to go to 59elch, and turn the frequency adjuster till the "noise" stops. please help, its driving me nuts

Hi, I don't know about this radio, but replying to say I've removed you other post. New members posts are held in moderation until an Admin/Moderator approves them.

One suggestion though is maybe see in the manual if there is a full reset to put all setting to factory defaults. Otherwise someone should post a better suggestion soon.

yes there is a way to reset it and i did that and still cannot get the squelch to go up
