Default Ham radio noise problem... need help.

Hi, I've got an ICOM-746PRO Ham Radio hooked up to a Gap Challenger DX antenna. I am getting some disruptive noise (not necessarily interference), and I believe it may be due to electrical equipment in the same room as the radio. However, I've tried turning everything off and I still get noise. What are some common ways to reduce the noise on a ham radio?

(Note: I am sure you guys get new users signing up for help every day and it's really annoying, but I'm getting paid on this so it'd be really nice if you guys would help me.)

Try ferrite rings on the power supply cables, failing that a mains filter for HiFi usually does the trick.

Switch Mode Power Supplies are usually to blame for broadband noise, I have found recently LED ropelights cause a decent hum, try isolating the noise by using a filtered mains feed just for the radio...
