I have my General ticket!

Well, after a lot of messing around, I got into some intense studying and passed my Tech and General
tests yesterday (July 17). Didn't miss a question. YEEEHAWWW!!!

I tried the Extra exam, but that didn't work out so well. At least I got to see one, but close only counts in horseshoes and handgrenades. I'm purty confident that I can pass that at the test session at the hamfest next month. Anyway, I should have a call in a week or so.

I still haven't bought a rig or anything. The Duke City Hamfest is Aug 13-14, so I'll be restraining myself until then. Of course, a cheap 2M/440 handheld might be fun in the meantime.

Even though the testing was stressful (Tip: DON'T drink coffee beforehand, you'll be nervous enough already!) I still have a smile on my face I can't get rid of...
