Awesome Homebrew HF No Tune Antenna
Here is something an old timer has tried and tested and that is a great antenna.
It is inexpensive and easy to use .
I found that when I run coax to the outside and terminate it into a 50 ohm oil filled Dummy load and I use a T connector on the load so that I can run a wire over to a grounded 50
foot vertical. I run only a wire from the center of the SO 239 and fasten the far end to the
50 foot vertical at about 3 to 5 inches from ground via a hose clamp.
I do NOT ground the coax.
I have a match of 1: 1.2 with NO TUNER.
Have gotten great signal reports.

No great surprise - the dummy load SHOULD give you a low SWR. It's been done before, though. Google MaxCom and "Sonny Irons".
