triband or 2 meter vertical base antenna
hi. I'm new to all this. I passed my Foundation. Our club net meets or 2 meters FM though there is a contingency plan to move to 6 meters if things get bad. The best-case scenario is that i will be allowed to install antenna(s) in my loft. so unfortunately that means as few antennas and feeders as possible. Yes I'm one of those that live in Local Authority housing and aren't allowed anything on the roof (the problem is more serious than i thought...). I have very little money and even tell technical know-how. Is there such a thing as a numpty-proof antenna HI.

Tri band verticals are pretty popular now, you should have no problem finding one.
However, they tend to be pretty long (with 6m)
Measure up the height of your space and have a look at these, they all look around 8 feet long:-
