    Post Kenwood TK-350 Queries

Hey everyone, i'm new to the forums, & had a couple of things to ask about the Kenwood TK-350 handheld UHF radios.
Does anyone have a copy of the service manual in PDF format?
also, what would be the max transmit distance at full TX of 4W?

    Thanks in advance,
    Vanguard

Since you haven't provided enough information on the application of your TK-350 UHF handheld portable, any of us would be second guessing how you plan to use this radio. I did a quick check on the portable and it's use in the Commerical Land Mobile Radio Business Band above 450 MHz. If you are using the handheld on Simplex - Tx/Rx on same frequency, talking to another handheld, perhaps 2~2.5 Air Miles Line-Of-Sight in an open terrain without any tall buildings. Hills, Trees, Tall Buildings of Concrete / Steel and wearing the portable handheld at waist level will attenuate the signals in both directions, therefore reducing your radio's coverage.

Here's the specifications on the Kenwood TK-350 Handheld:

I think you will be required to contact your local Kenwood Land Mobile Two=Way Radio Dealer for the Manuals, Schematics and Programming Software.

    Default kenwood tk350

These little handhelds were the mainstay of allot of police forces in the UK prior to airwave, robust reliable and pretty cheap nowadays.

A local auto club needed some for safety radios ,using the gen lic 449 frequencies.........they get almost 3 miles out of them at a push.

    Home that helps.
