Take a look at my website for a few ideas!
I recently purchased a Nissan Cube and was wondering if anyone else has one or knows someone who has figured out a way to install a mobile unit in the vehicle? These things are not very friendly in ways of places to put a radio so I'm a bit stumped. The center console seems impossible because the seats will strike it if you move them forward. There is no dash space either and even if the unit has a detachable face, I'm finding it difficult to locate an area to place it.
I'm working with 2m mobiles... I have an Icom V8000 and Yaesu FT-1802.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Steven

Blu-tak on top of the dashboard, together with a plethora of wiring is always a ham's favourite
How about one of those fancy microphones with loads of buttons for VFO etc? (mount radio under seat)...
Sorry about that guys, had to be done.
Just an afterthought after google imaging "ham radio dashboard", how about the glove compartment?
Provided you only need QRP (for heat reasons) it's quite a nice location. After you've finished playing, you can chuck the mic in & close it and nobody can see your kit...

haha that picture is awesome... could you imagine!? The glove box isn't a bad idea really considering how huge the thing is. I'll have to mess around with the whole idea and see what I can come up with I guess. Thanks for the reply!
Here is a photo to help you guys figure a place to put it. The only thing I can think of is on the dash top in the left far corner or in the small area above the radio that doesn't have the divot.
