Aerial work completed.

I've completed my aerial work (for the moment).

Tiny little 5/8 / 3*5/8 for 2m/70cms at the front, 9 element Vargarda with mast head preamplifier fed with Ecoflex 15 in the middle and a 5/8 with radials for 28 MHz at the back. I've already worked into France, Germany and Belgium on the beam and Austria on the vertical and the work was only completed a few hours ago!

There's nothing quite like a decent 2m antenna IMO...

That beam is OK for 2m but I can do better. Next year when a friend gets his cherry picker it will be a simple job to replace the beam without having to take it all down. That pole with the rotator and mounts is heavy, four of us struggled to get it in place. It didn't help that we have overhead power cables which come in at the top rear corner of the house!

The vertical for 10m is working well, I've already had good reports back from Italy, Romania and the bottom left corner of Russia.
