    Default Western Electric audio coupler ... Wanted

    I think it might be called a QKT. Not sure though. But I have two pictures attached.

    An audio coupler is pretty straightforward to construct, basically just a 1:1 isolation transformer with sockets each end.
    There might be some simple filters either end to cut down on hum or restrict the bandwith.

    If you can find a similar looking case, maybe you could build a new one
