    hi i have a crack in the front clear screen of my kenwood tmg707 does anyone know how to change it or pass on to me the instuctions how to change it .

    Its probably as easy as unscrewing the case and unglueing the old one, then pulling a header cable - trouble is, getting hold of the part...

    A Kenwood service center will be able to do the repair for you, it might be worth paying the extra $50 for the job.

    thanks for getting back to me, just to inform you that i have orered the part from a place called fullers i got this number from kenwood they stock all the parts for kenwood.and are based in u.k. the part is costing me £12.00 uk pounds thats about $22.00 so its not that much,and will take about 3 working days to come, as the radio is so old now and out of date. if you would like fullers telephone number i will pass it on, as iam new to this forum i dont know if i can list the number on this board. i think this radio is a great set. i have just started in ham radio and i bought it for £50.00 it works very well has not been tounched or wide baned at all just the crack in the face pannel just lets the radio down.
