TS-2000 40mtr Expansion

Hi all

I have recently purchased a friends TS-2000 and I note that on the 40 mtr band TX is only possible up to the old band limit of 7.100MHz. Will installing the more recent Firmware allow TX up to 7.200MHz ?? or do I need to carry out a hardware mod.

The current firmware is 667d making the rig approx 7 yrs old.

You views would be greatly appreciated

Problem now solved by upgrading the Firmware to the latest version posted on the Kenwood site.

Sure this will be helpful for others, good to see a simple firmware update fixed it! I'm enjoying the 7.100-200 helps during busy contest periods.
