I have to build something for my practical intermediate and i'm stuck for ideas.

I was going to build another SMPSU but decided i'd rather build something i need.

So something practical for a newish shack.... get your thinking caps on.

I built a morse kit for my 2E but I suggest you spend a while browsing the site and see if anything takes your fancy.

Well it looks like the project has decided on itself.

I picked up an ICOM IC-25E from a radio rally a few weeks ago for the extortionate price of £15.

Having been in contact with ICOM and been told they mic is no longer in production (surprised, i was not) and there was no direct replacement they sent me the circuit diagram for the mic (as it includes within it an amplifier) and i'm going to build the circuit myself and adapt it into a sort of handsfree arrangement for the car.

I ordered the components from Maplins at 11.30 yesterday..... and they arrived on the doorstep 10 minutes ago...... :shock: Maplins, i cannot fault you on this one!
