SoftRock-40 Kit
Has anyone built a SoftRock-40 Kit? The kit is a small, low-cost, software defined receiver and I'm interested in building one http://www.amqrp.org/kits/softrock40/version5.html
It appears that I need to order a SoftRock v5.0 QSD Kit ($19 USD) which includes the 5VDC regulator etc. in addition to SoftRock v5.0 Low Band OSC/BPF ($7.50 USD).
Any inputs?

Re: SoftRock-40 Kit
Michael, G3WOE from the Whitton Club has a few SDR's including a Softrock, he says they're brilliant.
We had a demonstration at the club a while back and I drooled uncontrollably.
The ability to COPY a station 10dB or more under the noise is a reality.
Coupled with any transmitter, you can beat the pileups!
They really shine for CW, but lots of fun on any mode.
Go ahead and get one, what can you lose for a few $$?

Re: SoftRock-40 Kit
I have two... one was a kit i ordered from the states but after i made it i could never get it to work perhaps my SMD soldering wasn't up to much.. but managed to get a made and working one from a radio rally and like Demetrius says its rather impressive, might be worth remembering you need a decent soundcard to connect it to.
