I'm 100% certain this isn't possible at the moment, you'd have to do the exam in the UK.Originally Posted by AbuDhabi101
As a UK citizen living overseas is it possible to do the Foundation and Intermediate exams without travelling back to the UK?

Did you take into account that British Embassies and the British Council in all countries overseas conduct UK examinations of all types and levels throughout the year or just guessing?
Hi,
I'm not guessing i'm going by whats actually been happening since the foundation licence has come into effect, feb 2002, I've never heard of anyone doing the exam outside of the UK, as usually the exams are conducted by local radio clubs and processed by the Radio Society of Great Britain.
To get the legal answer i can only recommend you contact the Office of Communications in London on Tel: 020 7981 3131 or 0300 123 1000

Thanks, I'll give them a call.
As a new member here on this forum...firstly hi to all....now I am UK citizen living here in The Netherlands and I have recently emailed the RSGB and asked the same question and the reply was that I will have to return to the UK to sit the exams and perform the praticals as there are not any internet/email based examinations....
Hope this helps...
Cheers
Dave....
ps could anyone enlighten as to the type of praticals for the foundation and intermediate course?
the foundation license won't be of any use to anyone not living in the uk.it's not valid in other countries
I suggest you take a look at the Foundation and Intermediate Syllabi, all practical aspects are available on each, available to download from the RSGB tutors' website, or here:
