I like the DX Cluster in HRD, makes finding DX easier when you have limited time on the radio. You sometimes don't even need to tune the radio, its all done by the PC!!
Hi Guys/Gals.
What software applications do you use for looking to see what you might be able to work? I use HFProp and now superseded by VOAProp by g4ilo http://www.g4ilo.com which is Free!
I find it helpful to see what bands might be open to what areas! what application do you use?

Indeed the dx cluster can be a very useful tool! more so within HRD which i use myselfdownside of the cluster is that the monkeys read it and pileups become MAD which makes it less enjoyable.
I've now got the fun and games of getting applications to work on Vista as the charger board went in my sony vaio and the repair costs was more than the new machine with better specs!

You could always put XP on it! Then it will run faster then your old machine, rather than slower!!
Indeed I could put XP Pro on it as I've got my Vaio licence but I'll try Vista for a while so far I'm happy with it! HRD works fine with no problemsOriginally Posted by m0bov
and all my uni software too. Looking forward to doing some more radio from Weds night as it will be Christmas holiday Yay!

nah, give vista a go. I found it faster than XP. Sure, it is more demanding if you use it's aero theme, but I found it managed ram better than XP when I tried the beta.
Cant say if its faster than XP, due to the machine being a completely different spec 2Ghz Dual Core AMD + 2GB Ram, but I've noticed no major problems its crashed once caused by me doing some 3d graphics rendering  like you say aero is demanding but if its not your cup of tea its pretty easy to turn off and go back to the classic look and feel!Originally Posted by m3wse
