Galleywood Common is a spot of land just south of the home QTH - It's close to the A12 and not too far from town so very accessible. It's a popular place for walking the dog as well as kite-flying. Myself and Ben, M0GKY drove there on Saturday and did a spot of HF /P - Ben has the original FT-450 so we used that plus I brought my FT-817ND although we didn't do anything with that, preferring to operating solely on the main set. We were powered by Ben's new 20Ah lead-acid battery which was happily providing us with 50w of output for the 3 hours of operating we did.

The antenna was an Inverted-V with 40m+20m wires giving us a dual-band, single-feed, self-supporting arrangement.
