Kenwood R-5000 -Noobie help pls

Hi There,
I have a Kenwood R-500 that has a PLL issue. The dashes where the frequency readout. Need to removed the front panel. Any idea what tool I use can to remove the frequency knob?

They usually have a 2mm (or similar) hex grub screw under the rubber band...
