My Buddipole Buddistick arrived today. Very easy to assemble and I'm impressed with the quality. IF it ever stops snowing here, I'll put it on my patio and see how it works. Interested to compare this vertical to my dipole on 20 and 17 meters. I can't tune my dipole down to 40 meters at all, so hopefully I can get on 40 meters with this.

Stay tuned!

Looking forward to hearing how you get on with the Buddistick. I'm longing for some real Colorado spring wx so I can take my buddipole out and test the 6m add-on and just generally work some portable HF.

It finally stopped snowing and I was able to put the Buddistick on my patio to work 40 meters yesterday evening. No tap on the coil per instructions and I just threw about 30 ft of the counterpoise wire out across the patio. I had several nice QSO's all over the country and getting amazing signal reports. When I told my contacts I was running a Buddipole Buddistick the answers were usually "a what? No kidding. Wow" Just a great time. Every station I heard, I was able to contact. Today I worked 20 meters, and compared the Buddistick with my copper wire horizontal dipole fed by ladder line on my patio. There were stations I heard on the Buddistick I couldn't hear at all on the dipole. Tuning the Buddistick was simple too. Made tons of QSO's. And this evening back on 40 meters. QSO's all over the country with great signal reports, even broke through a pileup. For anyone with COA antenna restrictions, this works.

I'm glad this worked out for you. The buddipole (and buddistick) are great stealth and portable antennas.
