Having obtained my foundation licence sometime ago and now retired my query is this. Are there any clubs in the west midlands where an M3 would be welcomed. So far all enquieries have failed to get a responce. Help would be apreciated. Bob Vigors M3lqy.

Have you tried the RSGB? Have you visited hamtests.co.uk as this could get you up and running whilst you search for a course? The RSGB should be effeciant at sourcing a course as they took over the running of it!

Thanks for the reply. I was active some time ago but stoped due to lack of progress. I feel that mebership of a club would rekindle my interest but all attempts at geting a responce from the clubs listed as local to me have failed. It would seem that M3 are not welcome. I live near to Walsall and Lichfield so any suggestions from hams in that area would be welcome. Many Thanks, Bob Vigors

Hi Robert, congrats on the M3.

You mention that you have some local clubs, although getting a response is not exactly forthcoming.

Could you perhaps pop along to their club night and see if being there in person would elicit a better response??

I know from experiance that sometimes emails have gone unanswered for a while because of a number of reasons, and maybe they haven't got round to replying or the contact details are old.
