Vx 150 No voice transmit

Hey, all thanks in advance for the help.

I have a vertex 150, brand new purchased from HRO, and it's worked fabulously, until I had a couple of local hams program a local repeater. They tried to talk on it, and it keyed the repeater, but would not transmit voice. We changed frequency, and it did the same thing on simplex. The weird thing is that it will transmit scratching and blowing on the mic, loud and clear, Only voice will not go through. Is this some kind of setting? I looked through the entire menu and found nothing about it. They'd never encountered such a problem before. Anybody know what is going on? Can the radio just sense that i dont have a license yet??? :?

Sounds a little odd, I've had a VX-150 for 2 years now and not suffered from any problems! Might be worth doing a full reset to see if that solves the problem, if not get in touch with HRO.

Yer, def sounds faulty, if its new pop it back to shop and get them to sort it, there are no audio or mic settings that I'm aware of, but def to a factory reset or let the shop do it.
